Welcome to Remark & Rose!
Hi, I'm Kelsie- creator of Remark & Rose. From what started as a small hobby, has transformed into a business based out of home. This allows me to be with my kids, but also hustle with work on my downtime. I have found a creative outlet that allows me to take a mental break and unwind after a busy day.
Remark & Rose formed by taking my maiden name (Kramer backwards) and married name (Rose) and joined it together to get a business name I love! I have a degree in Agriculture and work on the family farm in the spring and summer- making crop plans, scouting fields and occasionally run farm equipment. My kids always come first but work must always get done, so finding the balance is important... I enjoy keeping myself busy.
When I started this business last summer, I was mainly flipping furniture and doing home project in the midst of COVID. After getting quite a few comments on the projects I was completing I had some friends and family recommend I start a business page to provide inspiration and ideas for others. Because I found it harder to work on outside projects in the winter with my kids I was extremely interested in macrame. As we recently built a home I wanted to DIY as much as I could and really liked the boho style to decorate our own walls with. I ordered cord, and it sat in my closet for quite a few months before really diving into it. But once I started I couldn't stop. I've always enjoyed creating as a child, doing crafts and projects. So once I started making macrame pieces I was such a nostalgic feeling. I feel right at home and the ideas are endless.
A large part of my work is custom orders. If interested in specific pieces to suit your home I would be overjoyed to work on something together and make a plan.
